The interior of this excellent free house rambles around the bar to provide a number of cosy areas on different levels. There is a small area down from the bar facing the church and further away, down a few steps to the left of the bar is a tile-floored area with an inglenook fireplace. The pub does have a second fireplace in the main bar. The main bar area has floorboards and beams. At the rear is a larger room with comfortable seating and good sized wooden tables. Outside there are tables to the front and side and a large garden with children's play equipment to the rear. Please note that whilst the pub is open from 8.30am, alcohol is only served after 11am. The earlier opening is for the sale of good quality coffee and cakes (made by a local artisan baker) and scotch eggs and sausage rolls (from a local butcher). No food is available at other times, although sharing platters and sandwiches should be available once the new owners have settled in, with the owners keen to support local businesses. Food events such as hog roasts are held in the garden on a regular basis, and morris dancers will appear in summer. One guest beer is available at present, but it is hoped to increase this to two.
