On Saturday 22nd August, a small number of branch members took the train from Redhill to Alton (changing at Guildford and Aldershot). After a few delays en route, our first venue, just outside of the railway station in Alton, was the appropriately named Railway Arms which is operated by the local Triple fff brewery. We found four of their beers available, Sundown, Moondance, Alton's Pride and Nothing Else Matters.

Next stop was the very traditional Eight Bells, where we found two beers from The Flower Pots Brewery, namely Perridge Pale and Pots Bitter. After that, we moved onto Cassidy's to be met with a selection of three cask ales and numerous keg offerings.

Moving on from there, we popped into The Ivy House, which is the local Wetherspoon establishment. There we found Triple fff Moondance again, alongside Jail Ale from the Dartmoor Brewery.

Our final stop on the way back to the station, was the Ten Tun Brew House, where we sampled their American IPA, Keira Fortnightly.
